These terms govern your use of RegAdvisor and the information provided through the website.
Informational service
RegAdvisor provides vehicle information, MOT history, and AI-assisted commentary for general informational purposes. It does not provide legal, mechanical, insurance, or financial advice.
Data accuracy and availability
Vehicle data is sourced from third parties including DVLA and DVSA. While RegAdvisor aims to present information accurately, it cannot guarantee completeness, availability, or error-free operation at all times.
AI-generated guidance
AI outputs are intended to help interpret the data presented on the site. They should not be treated as a substitute for an independent inspection, finance check, or professional mechanic's opinion.
Paid checks
Paid checks add selected identity and risk signals from paid data sources to the free RegAdvisor report. The Essential Check is not a full vehicle-history guarantee and does not include finance status, stolen status, mileage verification, keeper change history, AutoCheck, salvage/write-off guarantee packages, or condition checks.
Paid check results are based on supplier-held records available at the time the report is generated. A clear or unavailable result should not be treated as proof that no issue exists.
Payments and report access
Payments are processed by Stripe. RegAdvisor stores a snapshot of each paid report so that it can be viewed after purchase and recovered through the account area using the checkout email address.
Acceptable use
- Do not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, or attempt to bypass rate limits or security controls.
- Do not use the service in a way that infringes the rights of others or breaches applicable law.
- Do not rely solely on a free history check when making a high-value purchase decision.
External services
Some features depend on third-party services, including hosting, data APIs, and email delivery. These components may change or become unavailable without notice.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RegAdvisor is provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
